Change in width and weight

How to use it

Change the width and/or weight of characters within some text.

When to use it

This is a way to emphasise something within some text, often subtly. In the example below I’ve changed both the width (from condensed to regular) and weight (from light to black) of text as the sentence gets closer to “heavy”.

What to watch out for

This effect is quite subtle, especially with character width, unless you use a typeface with a large range of widths and weights.
